Google announced today that Whistle Rewards is one of 15 start-ups selected to be part of the inaugural Google for Startups AI Academy focused on American infrastructure.

The select group of start-ups will receive resources, mentorship and training to help founders scale solutions and increase impact in communities across the country.

Robin, Whistle’s AI persona is helping create more accurate safety and performance reporting in construction.

Whistle Rewards created an AI persona “Robin” that reviews and helps participants write recognitions in the Whistle Rewards platform that have a greater impact on behavior. The tool works in a similar way to a password check, ensuring that the key elements of an effective recognition are included each time one is written.

The capability is now being extended to more complex reporting systems in construction like safety reports and field observations. Robin can both score the quality of construction reporting in platforms like Procore, and can make suggestions or ask for clarification when needed.

Google for Startups AI Academy: American Infrastructure is a three-month program designed to support high-potential startups leveraging AI to improve public works and foundational systems across the US. While the majority of the program will take place virtually, founders will have the opportunity to connect during one in-person event.

The program will include a curriculum developed and delivered by Google’s People + AI Research (PAIR) team, as well as AI and product leaders from across the company. In addition, startups will receive parallel training on advanced sales skills and go-to-market strategies that will be available to founders or their sales leaders.

Startups will receive dedicated mentorship from experts across Google, access to the latest Google AI tools, and invaluable insights and connections. AI Academy: American Infrastructure provides a structured path for startups to refine their trajectory, gain market share, and achieve sustainable and responsible scalability.
